Virtual Ram Orientation
Colorado State University has made the difficult decision to move to an online virtual orientation program for students starting in Spring 2021. We know this might be hard news to receive, and we are going to miss welcoming you to campus. Nevertheless, we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Ram Family…online!
Orientation and Transition Programs and CSU are committed to creating a virtual orientation experience that will meet your needs and support a successful start at CSU. We want to let you know what this change to virtual orientation means for you.
First, sign up for our online orientation.
You will first have to complete a series of online modules on your own time. During this required online experience, you will learn about our community and our history, discover resources, engage with acadmic advising components, and prepare for success in and out of the classroom.
Additionally, you can register for one of our Online Live Ram Orientation sessions. We will use these session dates in order to create opportunities for you and a small group of your peers to log in to sessions at the same time to connect, and get your questions answered. Please plan to be available on the dates of your orientation reservation to participate in these components of virtual orientation.
Second, we are developing a virtual orientation experience for parents, family members, and guests. This virtual experience will allow them to learn about CSU, get questions answered, and learn about ways to support you in your transition to CSU. Parents, family members, and guests will also have access to both an online program and virtual sessions.
Finally, keep a look out in your email and on our website (virtualorientation.colostate.edu) for updates. This is new for us too, and we’re committed to supporting you and welcoming you to the CSU community. As you’ll quickly learn, Rams take care of Rams, and we’re here for you. If you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org (preferred while we work remotely) or (970) 491-6011.
