- Please note: the following information about Ram Orientation for International Students is designed for directly admitted, undergraduate students.
Step 1: Complete Online Pre-Orientation and Academic Advising
First, sign up for our online orientation.
Starting on November 16th, you will receive a link in you CSU email account inbox directly from us with information on how to access and complete the Online Pre-Orientation. During this required online experience, you will learn about our community and our history, discover resources, and prepare for success in and out of the classroom. You will not have to download any additional software.
Part of the International Orientation experience is academic advising and course registration. New students will connect with Academic Advisors and register for spring classes.
The academic advising experience is designed to meet the variety of needs for new international students. Upon completing Online Pre-Orientation, you will receive instructions on how to schedule your academic advising appointment. You will be able to schedule your advising appointment for a time when both you and your Academic Advisor are available.
Step 2: Virtual Ram Orientation for International Students
Virtual Ram Orientation for International Students will take place on Thursday, January 14th, 2021. During this experience, you will learn about Immigration Information, U.S. Laws and Campus Safety, the CSU Health Network, and more. Attendance is required.
Academic Advising and Course Registration are not a part of your Virtual Ram Orientation for International Students session on January 14th. You must reach out to your academic advisor to schedule your appointment.
Step 3: Spring Ram Welcome – Live the Experience
Your next step after Virtual Ram Orientation for International Students is to participate in Spring Ram Welcome! We look forward to welcoming you to CSU.
We are committed to supporting the physical distancing guidelines and taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions to keep our students, staff, faculty, and community healthy. We are currently preparing for Ram Welcome this January and plan to host a Ram Welcome program with both virtual and in person engagement opportunities in a manner as public health guidance allows at that time. The university is currently planning to provide classes to students in person on campus this spring. For information about the university’s status and response to COVID-19, visit www.safety.colostate.edu/conronavirus.
We are committed to sharing updates with you as more decisions are made. We will update this website and our Ram Welcome website (ramwelcome.colostate.edu), and we will send all new students and families an email update about Ram Welcome when we are able to. We look forward to having you join the CSU community this spring.
